Y5/6 Hockey Competition (Quicksticks)

Events in the competitive category are for pupils who are ready and prepared for competition and enjoy performing and competing against others. They provide the opportunity for competition in a positive and friendly environment where the focus is on enjoyment and supporting the wider development of young people as much as the outcome of the event itself.

This competition is aimed at children in year 5/6 who have experience of playing Hockey at school. They will be playing matches so will need a good knowledge of the rules which you can find here;

Y3/4 Hockey Festival

This is a FOR ALL event aimed at those least active children but open to all children in KS1 and KS2 to take part. The aim of this event is to foster social connections and promote enjoyment. The event will take place in your own school.

This is a trial and new for 2024 so spaces are limited. No previous experience of Hockey is required. This event for Y3/4 will be a festival format where they visit multi-skills stations to develop their physical skills in Hockey. The aim is to raise confidence and generate interest for all children taking part. An initial chance for children in Y3/4 to experience an external sporting event.

We strongly recommend that children taking part wear shin protectors and mouth guards.
