This event targets specific groups of young people who would benefit the most from having positive experiences of sport, physical activity and competition. The activities and outcomes are designed to reflect the young people’s needs and motivations.

 

Who for?

This event is aimed at KS2 children who have special educational needs or disability.

Theme

The theme of this event will be around building the self-belief of the children taking part.

 

Team Information

Teams are made up of between 5-8 children of either gender. All children will be involved in all of the activities.

 

Format

Each team will rotate around a circuit of activities. Each activity will be fully explained at the event, teams do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience to be able to participate. Each activity will be scored, but the focus is on working as a team and supporting/encouraging each other.

School teams will stay together throughout all the activity rotations and collect team points.

Once the First 3 rotations have been completed, there will be a short break, then 3 more rotations, if time permits non-scoring relay races will take place, followed by team presentations.

All teams taking part will receive Panathlon t-shirts, certificates and medals.

IMPORTANT: Following this event there will be opportunity for the winning team to go on to the county round to represent the Partnership.

There will be a morning and an afternoon session available for you to book onto – there will be 5 spaces available in each session.

Morning session 10:30am-12pm (arrive 10:15am)

Afternoon session 1pm-2:30pm (arrive 12:45pm)
