These events are for everyone and are delivered in school. They focus on providing 60 active mins for every child whilst supporting their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.

 

Who for?

This event is for children in KS1. Schools are welcome to bring along a whole class to this event.

 

Outcome

The intended outcomes of this event are to experience physical activity in an out of school setting where there are opportunities to improve physical and social development.

  • Physical Development –Being active for at least 60 minutes a day supports young people to have immediate and long-term health benefits.
  • Social Development – Sports competitions can provide a sense of belonging, enabling young people to develop their teamwork, communication, empathy and respect for others.

 

General information

There will be 2 sessions taking place – please select the session you will to attend.

There will be a carousel of activities for the children to participate in, each activity will be led by year 6 or year 7 leaders from the host school. Children will rotate around each activity in groups of 10, staying with children from their own class. Please ensure you bring enough staff to have each group supervised at all times.

This event is free to enter for all schools who are subscribed to the Witchford Sports Partnership.

Session 1 will be 9.45am arrival for 10am start, finish 11.30am.

Session 2 will be 12.30pm arrival for 1pm start, finish 2.30pm.

Deadline for entries is 1pm on the 4th May 2022
