This is a TARGETED event for Year 4/5/6 girls who are new to football. The aim is to engage new audiences, develop physical skills and promote enjoyment.
The aim of the Year 4, 5 & 6 Let Girls Play Football Festival is to introduce new players to the game of football and to offer girls a positive experience in a friendly environment where they will be inspired to continue playing the sport in the future. The event is aimed at teams/girls who are beginners or new to the game not those already playing regular club football.
For girls already playing football there will be the opportunity to take part in the qualifier for the English Schools Football Competition.
The festival will include a carousel of activities and also the opportunity to take part in friendly games against other schools and teams of a similar standard.
Team size: 7 a-side with up to 12 in a squad
