This event is for KS1 and is in the Ely area. We are very close to confirming the venue but need to finalise some minor technicalities first before we can announce this. We will email out as soon as this has been confirmed.

Schools are welcome to bring along a whole class (30) children to this event. There is a limit of 240 children per session. There will be 2 sessions, one in the morning, one in the afternoon.

There will be a carousel of activities for the children to participate in which are linked to Olympic sports that they will rotate round in groups.

Deadline for entries is 22nd March 2019

Get Active Festival

Is this a School Games Competition or is it a Partnership Event? This is a Partnership Event.

This means it is FREE to enter if you have signed up to our core package.  If you have not signed up, but you wish to enter, there will be a charge of £100.

Who is this for? ·         Key stage 1 pupils
How many participants can I bring? ·         One class of up to 30 participants.  If your class has more pupils than this, please contact us to see if it is possible for us to accommodate your needs.

Ø  If you wish to enter additional classes, please record this in the comments box and we will endeavour to support this request.

Competition Details ·         This is a celebration or introductory taster session.

·         There is no competitive element.

Outline of Event ·         You will be asked to organise your class into groups.  Details upon confirmation of booking (usually two or three groups).

·         Groups will rotate around one circuit of activities in the morning and then a different circuit of events in the afternoon.

·         Each group will spend approx. 15 minutes at a station before moving on to another next station in the circuit.

Ø  The Fun Fitness circuit activities will be drawn from the various resource packs pupils might have experience of i.e.  Skipping, circus skills, hula hooping etc.

Ø  The Olympic circuit activities will be based on traditionally athletic events i.e.  hurdles, standing broad jump, beanbag throw etc.

Equipment ·         All sporting equipment will be provided by Witchford School Sports Partnership.
What will we need to bring? ·         Updated register, if changes have been made to participants or staffing.
